If you are familiar with St. George, you'll know in the winter it feels more like autumn. The other day Sadie insisted on wearing her heavy coat to play outside. She was so cute, so I took a picture and was going to put it on the blog with a joke about how cold and wintery it is here. Haha. Before I could get around to it we DID have a little taste of winter. We had a hail storm. The kids were SO enthralled with the little pea-sized balls of ice that they kept running outside to grab them off the ground.

It was a pretty good storm and it was cold enough that it stayed on the ground most of the day before melting. I had to document it with a picture because of all the years I've lived in St. George, there has only been a handful of days I remember white on the ground.

It all melted and then it was cloudy and gray for a few days until another storm hit. This one definitely left the most snow I've ever seen in St. George. The kids were ecstatic! They had coats on and were outside in a matter of minutes after they noticed it was snowing.

We probably got close to 2 inches, most of which had melted by the next day, but it was sure fun while it lasted. It's crazy to think that 40 minutes from here the road to Pine Valley is closed because of too much snow. Maybe we'll go sledding this weekend. :)

Two days ago it was 68 degrees! You would have thought it was spring. Who ever said weather in southern Utah is predictable?

Thanks for the update. Love the snow!
The kids must have loved it. Hopefully it's a little warmer now. I'm envious of your life in St. George. You really must be having a blast.
