If you've ever seen Napoleon Dynamite you may know it was filmed in the small Cache Valley town of Preston, Idaho. The actors of the movie are pretty much considered local heroes to the general population. Anyway, we were there the weekend of the annual "world-famous" (although of course it's not) Preston Rodeo last month and I forgot to post some pictures. So here they are now. This is the kids with their cousins (some of which they had never seen and will probably never see again) on the third night of the parade. That's right- they have a parade three nights in a row. I don't get it either. By then the float riders are mostly out of candy or if they have anything to throw at all, its the crappy stuff like salt water taffy. The kids loved it anyway. Then we went to the carnival and ate cotton candy and all that good stuff and went on rides and of course I forgot the camera for that part. So just imagine happy, smiling children with pure sugar running through their veins, spinning in circles and bobbing up and down on rides all night and then having to walk a mile back to the car right about when they are coming down off that sugar-high. Why do I do that to myself? I guess if it made some good memories for my kids then it was worth it, right?

Will wasn't as into the parade as the other kids so he decided to climb a tree instead.

Earlier that morning we went to a family reunion, which was held next to a horse pasture, so of course the kids had to feed the horses.

Kenzi got stung by a hornet on her finger and it took her a good ten minutes to calm down. Oh the trauma.

This was the only time Sadie held still long enough to get a picture the whole weekend.
It was a fun time to spend with family and see relatives you don't get to very often. We are going to make it a family tradition to go every year.

Cute pictures! The one with Kensi holding her finger is classic. Looks like a lot of fun! We'll have to see if we can make it to the world famous parade someday :)
I can't believe how big Sadie is. Amazing how kids keep growing even though you may not be there to see them. Poor Kenzi.
I can imagine the wails...
Don't quit blogging! What are you thinking!
Sadie looks so big.
Can't wait to see the tour of your house!
We need to talk and plan Thanksgiving.
