Last Saturday was the annual Dixie Escalante Kite Festival. It is put on every year to encourage kids to read. The kids that fill their reading charts and bring them to the festival get a free kite. But everyone from the community is invited so there are all types of people out on this golf course trying to fly kites at the same time. It got pretty comical. So here are a few pictures of my munchkins out there. Kenzi had a Barbie kite and Will had a Superman kite (to match his shirt) and Sadie had a Tigger kite (which we didn't find until we got back home.) So when we first got there, you could not see a single kite in the air. There was NO wind. An hour and a half later the wind was so strong that a lot of kite strings broke and some vending booths blew over. That's Utah weather for you. Anyway, these kids were totally geeked out that they finally got a kite in the air.

There were lots of games there and Will decided he wanted to do the Velcro wall. He LOVED it!

The kids enjoyed this little tractor train while we were there. And of course the inflatable slide.

It was a really great morning of games, junk food and time spent together as a family. However, we all got sunburned! I totally forgot sunscreen and my poor kids were little tomatoes by that evening. :( I felt so bad. But now they all have quite a beautiful tan.

That's nothing compared to the fair that Knonau throws every year!!
All this nice weather makes me think of you and our little backyard moments... sigh.
We just bought a hose and swimming pool- now all we need is a sprinkler head, slide, and the Thomas kids and we'll be set.
Great pictures. It looks so fun. We are not as warm in Provo as you guys, but we are warming up. Cannot wait to come visit.
